Purpose
Project Redeem is a not-for-profit youth and community development organization. We are a faith-based initiative assisting at-risk youth in targeted low-income communities. We offer wrap-around-supportive services promoting education, home-life skills, self-esteem, and self-worth.
Since 2004 Project Redeem has served as Supplemental Education Providers through the Ohio Department of Education with a 75-80% effective rate in academic improvement. Project Redeem is committed to improving communities by mentoring youth and offering support to families in these areas, and by collaborating with agencies and other organizations to meet the full spectrum of Project Redeem's youth's needs. Project Redeem is dedicated to these very vulnerable youth; giving them the tools needed to enable them to succeed.
To achieve our goals, we will evaluate our means of delivery by using the tools of tutoring, educational prep-testing, arts (museums, theatre, music), sports programs, healthy eating programs, personal hygiene, and guidelines in goal-setting.
Project Redeem has individuals in place both professional and lay with a "heart" for children. We have teachers, both retired and presently active in the school system available so that every child who comes through the program will have the advantage of school & summer academic help, if needed. Each of the volunteers have gone, and are willing to continue to go over & above the "call of duty." The children have been exposed to places like the Historical Museum to enhance & excite their awareness of history. We have individuals in place to teach persona hygiene, general home economics, including healthy eating habits (sewing, cooking, etc.). We have a physical education/spots program in place to teach actions & reactions in competitive situations, and the benefit of exercise of the body. Project Redeem's purpose is to minister to mind, body & soul Therefore, we have and will continue to teach the children value-setting biblical guidelines.
